Great Ride

Cannondale CX 3s are the latest addition to the Grasshopper fleet for multi-day tours based-in (or traveling through) Cambodia. They are well suited to the Grasshopper touring style and terrain typically encountered here. Fast and smooth rolling 700cc wheels, lockout front suspension and a riding position that offers a good balance of upright comfort and forward-riding efficiency make cycles on regular, rough or unpaved roads a pleasant experience for everyone. A true do-it-all bike for touring, with a class-leading lightweight build and powerful hydraulic disc brakes, the Cannondale CX 3s are a great addition to the Cambodian fleet.
Additionally, all bikes are fitted with removable handlebar bags and comfortable saddles for touring.

Go E-bikes

The Cannondale Trail Neo is a durable, high quality and supremely comfortable e-bike. It features a power pack and drive unit from Bosch and is equipped with 10 speed Shimano gearing with plenty of range for all conditions. The hydraulic disc brakes prevent any braking fatigue in your hands and front suspension prevents any wrist pain that can occur with e-bikes due to their slightly different weight distribution. It's a great looking bike too, with a battery that is integrated into the frame and a nice, subtle color scheme. The bikes come in S, M & L, so will suit riders from 165cm to 186cm in height.

Comfy Beds

The hotels we use are a great, and sometimes unexpected, part of this tour. In the larger cities and established tourist centers we use stylish and supremely comfortable hotels and resorts, while in the smaller and more out of the way areas we stay in the best available accommodation, which is often simple yet always well run, clean and comes with air-conditioning and a private bathroom.

Your Host

An experienced English speaking, local leader will host you on this trip who is well spoken, very knowledgeable, and charming. For tours of 7+ people, an assistant guide will accompany the group to allow for flexibility and ensure attention to service & detail. 

Our leaders are often cited as being the main highlight of the tour. We use local guides who have a passion for their country and are always well informed on topics ranging from history, politics, cuisine and importantly local customs and cultures. Our leaders will take pride in introducing you to every aspect of their country and will help you to connect with the villagers you meet along the way. They will also keep your safety and comfort top priorities at all times.

Support Van

An air-conditioned backup support vehicle is always available in case you want a break from riding, and to carry your luggage.

Great Eats

Whilst Cambodian cuisine may not be as famous as that of some of its neighbors, it offers some subtle, understated flavors. There is a strong emphasis on fish and fresh vegetables in the traditional diet, but contemporary Cambodian cuisine offers a wide range of options and surely has something for everyone. Our guides are experts at introducing you to the finest food. Included meals are listed in the day by day itinerary, and drinking water is always included with meals. Any soft or alcoholic drinks are not included and will be at your own expense. All dietary requirements are accommodated.

Snacking

Energy bars and local snacks are provided to keep your energy levels up for the riding, and clean water and electrolyte drinks are always available to keep you well hydrated.

This tour is available for private departures at any time for 2+ riders for no extra charge. This tour can also be scheduled as a group tour where we limit the group size to 14.

Travel by any means results in some impact to the countries, communities and environments we travel. On this tour, we aim to make a positive impact through our Book Donation Program and we seek to minimize our environmental impact through running our Cambodian support vehicles on 100% Bio-Diesel from Naga Biofuels. This is not a crop-based product, the fuel made entirely from recycled cooking oil.
