Overview
Looking for an educational and healthy family holiday? This is a fun-filled jaunt around the city of Chiang Mai and the nearby countryside designed with just that in mind.
Start with an introductory bike ride around Chiang Mai, the capital of the former Lanna Kingdom, where we can explore ancient temples and historical sites and perhaps have a chat with some locals. Over the next few days, explore the countryside surrounding Chiang Mai by bike, riding through rice fields, among the foothills of mountains and past small country villages. The trip ends with an exhilarating zip line ride in the forest canopy, swinging from tree to tree high above the ground.
Cycling on small lanes and backroads gives a great opportunity to explore the rural communities of Thailand while also visiting some fun sights along the way.
68 Km riding. This bike tour is on paved roads. We ride rural lanes and backroads. Once or twice we ride for a short distance on a secondary highway. For the most part the ride is flat and easy. There are some small short hills to get up and and roll down. The distances are all quite short so there is never any rush if you worry about being slow. We always have a support vehicle on hand in case you need to take a break from the cycling or want to cut the distance short.
Please Note - This tour is intended for families only. It is possible for us to schedule a private session of the same tour for adults, on request, at a nominal surcharge.
Peak season surcharge: 15% for the period 23 Dec-03 Jan and 11-17 Apr (Songkran). 10% during Loy Krathong period 26 - 31 Oct.
