Meet this morning at the railway depot in Skagway for a breathtaking start to our adventure aboard the White Pass & Yukon narrow-gauge railroad. Enjoy a scenic 90 minute trip through the coastal mountains passing from Alaska into the Yukon.

Once off the train, we’ll take time for a proper bike fitting & orientation then cycle 45 miles past alpine lakes to Carcross and a night in this former gold rush settlement, also the home of the Tagish-Carcross First Nations tribe.

Breakfast this morning at an authentic Yukon bakery before we set off for Whitehorse, Yukon. The ride today is through boreal forests, past scenic lakes and includes a stop at what may be the smallest desert in the world. Yes, sand dunes in the Yukon!

Upon arrival we check in to our funky local hotel for the first of two nights stay.

An exciting morning floating on the historic Yukon River.  A gentle paddle of 3-4 hours by canoe, our journey leads us to the confluence of the Takhini River. After lunch a chance to soak in the local hot springs before cycling back to town for a second night. Dinner is on-your-own at one of the many local Whitehorse establishments, with lots of suggestions offered.

The local craft beer scene is booming, offering a post-ride refreshment for accomplishing the Golden Circle by bike. Dinner tonight is at one of our favorite places in town.

Often called Alaska’s Adventure capital, Haines is a fun city to explore on foot or by bike. This morning you can join the guides and cycle 15 miles to Chilkoot Lake, set amidst a beautiful forest of Sitka Spruce. If you feel like a more relaxed morning you’re also free to enjoy some downtime in Haines as an alternative.

Our tour ends after lunch, except for those joining our optional Mendenhall Glacier Kayak Tour & Juneau trip extension, who will enjoy a scenic ferry ride to Alaska's capital city this afternoon, followed by another day of adventure. See details in the link.

For those concluding today, seaplanes connect Haines with Juneau for a quick getaway south to Vancouver or Seattle. If you like to take it slow, the late afternoon Alaska Ferry also connects Haines with the state capital.
