I did the 1 Day "Bike, Boat & Kayak" in Inle Lake and absolutely loved it! You bike around the countryside and get to visit local families who are the kindest individuals and see their daily hardworking lives. Then hop into a long tail boat to get lunch and kayaking afterwards. My guide, Sam was brilliant! He was super friendly, informative and a great person overall. I was lucky to have been the only person on the tour that day so got to chat with Sam and learn about his life. I'm not a strong biker and never kayaked before and Sam kindly accommodated to what I was comfortable with and kayaked with me (and pretty much did all the paddling).Everything was perfect! Would definitely recommend the tour and I would do it again. Thanks for a fantastic day Sam!
Review of: Inle Bike, Boat and Kayak Tour
Huge bang for buck experience lasting the whole day.
We could have just kept on cycling through a lost world of villages and interconnected small tracks, but then we were hit with kayaking, boat transfer a fabulous meal, more biking and just more of everything.
Guide was local and proud to show us around the area.
Great value day.

We did the bike + boat + kayak tour with Joe and it was brilliant. His English was fantastic and he explained so much about the culture and lives of the local people. The biking part isn’t the easiest, all very flat but the paths are mainly gravel so can be hard work (we are just very unfit!). The boat rides were brilliant, and snacks and lunch was great. We were kept well fed! The kayak part was hilarious, we’ve never done it before and weren’t very good at controlling the kayak, but Joe was very patient and laughed along with us. I took so many photos as everything we saw was so interesting! Overall, we loved it, well and truly shattered, but loved it!
Loved everything about this full day bike/boat/kayak tour! It was extremely well organized. Our guide, Sam, was excellent: fun, knowledgeable and professional. I was traveling alone but was with a group of 6 other people for this tour. Because we were 7, a mechanic rode along with us. We didn’t end up requiring his services, but it was a nice touch. The mountain bikes were very good quality - the best I’ve seen in quite a while. We rode on secret trails along the edge of the lake, through bamboo forests and small villages, stopping to watch rice crackers being made by hand, to visit a sugarcane distillery and at a little roadside tea shop for mid-morning snacks (really a full meal) of tea leaf salad, green papaya salad, lemon salad and ginger salad with rice crackers and rice wine. And tea, of course. The food was astonishingly good - the best Burmese salads I’ve tasted in 6 months in Myanmar. And healthy - you feel good after eating. After some more cycling, we took a boat ride across the lake to a village on stilts where we enjoyed a delicious lunch. After lunch, kayaked through a couple villages and then took the boat back to town as sunset was drawing near, passing several photogenic fishermen along the way. A very enjoyable day!

Thank you to our guide, Zawzwa, for an amazing day. We loved riding through the countryside, the villages, seeing the locals and enjoying your country. I have been to 40 countries and although I'm not really the sort of person who likes organized tours, something about your company told me I could expect an adventure. What a great choice! We loved every minute of it and we especially appreciated Zawzwa's kindness for knowing we had only one day and showing as much as he could. 5 stars.
On both of our day tours on the Inle Lake, you will have the chance to step off the bikes for a bit and get on the water. Whether by long-tail boat through floating villages past the fishermen who row on one leg, or paddling through floating gardens in kayaks, you’ll have the chance to experience the beauty of Inle Lake from the water itself.
Escape city life for a glimpse of the natural wonders of Myanmar. View the distant mountain ranges from the lake, float down a waterway flanked by jungle, cycle narrow trails through bamboo forests and rice paddies by small villages that are usually hidden from tourists. Discover a hidden side of Myanmar not available in the cities.
Exchange smiles with local farmers as you pedal through small villages on the banks of Inle Lake. Take in the floating gardens anchored by bamboo stakes in the water, the nets of the one leg fishermen, and visit village industries such as tofu production, rice wine distilling, and molasses making. Cycle hidden paths for a sense of authentic Inle Lake life that will be different from anything you’ve ever seen.
As always, you’ll be accompanied by a local expert guide who will show you the ins and outs of Inle Lake while conscious of your safety and comfort level. In addition, while kayaking on the lake there will be a long-tail boat on hand so you have the freedom to rest when you’re ready.
