A Philippine island beach & bike tour
A classic bike ride around Bohol, one of the Philippines most beautiful islands, famed for its Chocolate Hills and as the habitat of the
endangered tarsier, one of the world's strangest nocturnal primates. This trip runs from Tagbilaran to Tagbilaran.
Departure On Demand
While this tour has some scheduled departure dates listed, it is also designed to run on any day on demand. What's the Riding Like?
Mostly flat terrain
5 days riding
300km distance
We mostly cycle on quiet, paved roads (with the odd pothole), although there are a few short stretches on busier main roads and bumpy tracks.
Weather
Coolest time: Nov-Feb
Wettest time: Jun-Oct
Our favourite: Mar -May
The 7000+ islands of the Philippines mean that the country has endless micro-climates. Although Bohol has a vague “dry season” during the summer, this is also the hottest and least comfortable time to ride. In reality Bohol receives rainfall around the year, but November to February is the best time to cycle as temperatures tend to be a little cooler. This said, to see the Chocolate Hills burnished brown, a summer visit is recommended!
