This is a guided bike tour of the most intriguing of the major temples. We visit Tha Prom, The Elephant Terrace and the Bayon as well as a couple of less visited ones along the way. We finish with a ride on small trails through the villages and back to town. This is a truly enjoyable ride on a good bike with a friendly Cambodian cycling guide.
If you can ride a bike, then you will love this bike tour. The distance is approximately 30 km on mainly flat tracks and small roads. We will stop often for photos, temple exploration on foot and refreshments.
Please note: Cambodian day tours will not operate April 14th, 15th, 16th & 17th due to Khmer New Year celebrations. We apologize for any inconvenience.

For Bike the Angkor Temples
Gather at the Grasshopper Shop
Meet at The Grasshopper Shop at 7:15 am, just over the river from the old market. Bring camera, sunglasses, sunscreen and comfortable cycling clothes. We will start our ride out towards the main temple area at 7:30 along a small road which follows the Siem Reap River.
Cycle the Angkor Temples
The first temple we visit is the amazing Angkor Wat. We then cycle the main circuit road and just as we enter Angkor Thom, we leave the road and spend the rest of the day on charming, quiet trails through these majestic structures. We visit The Bayon, famous for its serene faces and The Elephant Terrace while our lunch is prepared. After lunch we visit Ta Prom, known commonly as the jungle temple, with tree roots attempting to reclaim the ruins. From here we ride a red dirt road and then some great small tracks back to town. You can expect to return to town around 4:30 pm.
Please note: Appropriate dress (knees and shoulders fully covered) is compulsory for entry into certain sections of Angkor Wat, and should also be observed throughout all temple areas for reasons of cultural sensitivity.
What's the Riding Like?
This ride is predominately on flat tracks and small roads - there are no hills in the area so anyone who can reasonably ride a bike can do this tour. There are some sections on small dirt trails so beginner riders should not choose this tour.

What our guests tell us...
Just a selection of our great reviews!
I recently did the Angkor Temples Bike Tour with my 13-year-old son and it was quite simply one of the best travel experiences of our lives. - I'd give it 6 stars if I could!
This was truly a memorable day for our entire family and can’t wait to book another trip with Grasshopper!
I wanted a tour that was active, full of history, fun, and a great introduction /overview of the temples around Angkor Wat. What I got was ALL of that plus MORE!
Our guide Samie was a very good storyteller and was very eager to answer all the questions we had for him! This tour is a very good alternative way to visit the temples and to see how people live on the countryside!
This is the best way to see a lot in a little time! Mr 'V', our guide was awesome, very knowledgeable and a good, relaxed, funny guy. We didn't know which company to go with and took a punt on Grasshopper Adv. So glad we did, I'd certainly recommend anyone looking for a good, fun tour go with these guys you won't be disappointed.
