You’ll have a chance to experience the mark left by the Soviets in modern Tashkent before touring on to the 2000-year-old city of Samarkand with its gigantic Mosques. Cycle to the desert oasis of Bukhara that was recorded by the Chinese in 111 BC as being a large developed city before going on to be a state of Samanids in the 9th century and a powerful emirate in the 16th.
