Tour Itinerary
Start Time: 3:45 pm – End Time: 8 pm
Designed by local staff who have grown up in the region, this tour introduces you to specially selected signature dishes served on small or shared plates. We want you to experience a range of food and not feel weighed down after one stop. We promise that you won't go away hungry, but will feel you've experienced a true taste of Hoi An. We will discover some of the traditional dishes of this city, including:
Banh Mi
Park your bikes to try the signature Vietnamese sandwich hand-made by royalty, the Banh Mi Queen. This savory sandwich on a small baguette is flavorful and fresh.
Cao Lau
Next we’ll cycle to a small private home in the organic village to taste this home-cooked noodle dish steeped in a savory broth that's been described as part soup, part salad and uniquely Hoi An. At this home, you'll assist in gathering herbs from the garden to compliment your meal. An authentic Vietnamese food experience!
Banh Xeo
No food tour in Hoi An is complete without this sizzling rice pancake delicacy. We’ll pedal to a local restaurant where you will be welcomed like family and dine as the residents do.
Cheese, Beer & Wine
Cycle off the previous dishes to make room for our next stop. The French influenced many culinary traditions in Vietnam, including cheese making. A renaissance of late has resulted in new, quality cheese products. We pair these with Vietnam’s award-winning craft beer and a superb rice wine for an unexpected treat.
Hoi An BBQ with a View
As night falls, locals flock to small restaurants along the river for diners of freshly grilled meats and seafood. We've selected a fun, tasty spot with views of the historic quarter, where we’ll dismount our bikes for a tasty meal. Savor authentic Vietnamese outdoor style BBQ featuring delicious fresh seafood, pork and grilled vegetables.
Surprises!
We balance our longer stops with a few quick bites and tasty treats en route. Our tour ends in a quiet coffee shop with sweets and a few last words with your guides and fellow foodies.
Riding a bike allows us to move away from the densely packed city center to stalls, restaurants and private homes for delightful food.
Our food tour route features quiet alleyways, countryside pathways and select city streets. There is some city riding but you'll learn that Hoi An residents are mindful of bikes and our guides will ensure your safety along the way. Routes can change depending on weather but the tour is approximately 15k.
The tour will conclude at approximately 8:00 pm.

GUEST REVIEWS
We enjoyed our time with Lyna, who is knowledgeable about the area, culture, food and people. We eat vegan and the tour accommodated is, which we appreciated. Some pics enclosed to give you an idea of the tour. We started late afternoon, had a bike during dusk when the local people started coming out again with the cooler night, and into dusk and into the evening, capped with a river side view of Hoi An. Loved it and would recommend!

We had a bicycle tour of Hoi An with Lyna and had the best time ever. The tour group happened to be only my wife and I and we enjoyed the full time with our amazing guide Lyna. She was so knowledgeable of Hoi An culture and heritage and got us excited for everything on the tour. I mostly liked the tour of the village where we toured one of the houses of the people who lived and we sat and ate food from their garden. I would definitely recommend this tour if you have 3 to 4 hours available during your evening. Thank you!

We were guided around the alleys and paddies of Hoi An by the knowledgeable, warm and friendly Quan - an excellent tour guide and all around good person.Learning about the origins and history of cao lầu - pork with rice noodles - in the company of a Vietnamese farming family was an absolute privilege. The dish is steeped in the history of Central Vietnam and watching the greens being plucked from the patch next to you was a real Paddock to Plate experience. I would do the tour again just for this dish.Safety was never a concern, with Quan expertly navigating us through the busy streets of Hoi An, and most of the cycling route being through picturesque rice fields and farm land.I’d recommend doing this trip at the start of your stay because you will want to revisit a lot of the restaurants from the tour - we certainly did.
