After joining the wonderful Sip of Ceylon self-guided tour in this fascinating country I have shared a few photos and a little about my experience below:
Stunning landscape everywhere
Sri Lanka is a stunning and wonderful mix of diverse terrain and experiences for a traveler: rainforest, amazing beaches, mountains, lush tea and rice territory, busy cities and towns.

And friendly and curious people at every stop! It's a gorgeous country.
Friendly students I met
Grasshopper – through their supremely helpful and reliable support every day – have provided a cycling adventure in Sri Lanka nothing short of perfect. I have cycled (solo – as this trip was) in Vietnam, Mexico, Bulgaria, throughout Western Europe, the UK, and Canada – and I can honestly say this was a fabulously supported trip.
I couldn't make it the whole trip without this e-bike
I loved using an e-bike! I never had previous to this. But I know - even though I'm a fit cyclist - that I would not have been able to complete the mountainous cycling without one. Great!
Some decent beach time at the end of the trip
I am so appreciative of it all: the perfectly-planned daily routes, the excellent bicycle & gear, and the caring and expert daily assistance I received. Sri Lanka is an incredible country - and experiencing it via bicycle in a well-organized fashion was fantastic!
I will never forget this amazing trip!
