Visit the famous tunnels used during the Vietnam War just outside Saigon
Cu Chi Tunnels are one the few remaining, intact remnants of the Vietnam War. They have been preserved to show how the Vietnamese lived and fought during the war. The tunnels are surprisingly close to Saigon and easy to visit on this half day tour so if you find you have a spare day in Saigon it's worth the trip.
Itinerary
At 8am you'll be picked up from your hotel for the 1 hour drive to Cu Chi. At the tunnels you'll have a chance to crawl through a section (for the non-claustrophoic only!) and see the hospital, classroom and meeting rooms which have all been opened so that the less adventurous can still get an idea of what tunnel life must have been like. You will return to Saigon by lunch time.
